Kia ora Whanau,
I cannot believe it is week ten already! Oh how the term has flown by!!
I have not got much to report on this week as we have been doing mostly finishing off activities and strategy learning in mathematics but next week we have a very fun filled week.
On Monday we have Mahi coming in to play Kia o rahi with us which the children have been looking forward to for a very long time after seeing the other classes play it right outside our window!
Tuesday we are planning on having a shared lunch with Room 13 at lunchtime to celebrate what an amazing first term we have all had together and to wish everyone a safe holiday period. I ask that we all attempt to bring healthy meals to our shared lunch as 'the healthy body' has been the focus of Room 13's Life Education Bus sessions. If you would like to attend this lunch please feel free to pop in and join in our shared celebration.
Wednesday the children will have their Mrs Day day which they love!
And Thursday we are heading off to Founder's Park in Nelson for the ANZAC day presentation. Please can you make sure that all children bring their permission slips and money back to school by Tuesday next week at the latest as we need to ensure they are all able to go.
We also need a few more people to help with transport as I do not have enough cars to transport all of our children to this event on Thursday. If you are able to help with this please can you let me know as soon as possible.
I cannot believe that there are only four more days of Term One left. I have had the most amazing start to my teaching career and I really thank each and every one of your for your support and encouragement along the way!
Bring on Term Two!!
Miss McKenzie
