Science with room 13.

At the moment in class, we have been doing science with room 13. We started about 2 weeks ago, doing some hands on science activities.
We were put into 7 groups with 5 or 6 people, and we rotated around the two classes to different activities.
One that I personally liked, and I'm pretty sure most other kids liked it, was making sherbet. We had to mix ingredients together and record the different things that was happening to it, and then we got to eat it! Yum!!!
Another one was making ice cream! But it wasn't very nice according to most people, just ice and salt mixed. Blah!

This week we also got to do more science activities. This time we were put into groups again but we didn't do hands on work we just went around each station and learned about matter, how things form like mould, rust etc then we had to record what we learned. Science has been really fun, for everyone and I hope we get to do it again soon.

Food for thought wall

In our class we have a food for thought wall. We are allowed to add whatever quotes we want and here are some of them.

"Do what is right, not what is easy".

"Mistakes are proof that you are trying".

"Never never never give up".

"Life is very short and there's no time for fussing and fighting my friend".

"A dream is a wish the heart makes".

" Life is like a box of chocolates, you never known what your gonna get."

These quotes are really good to have in our class, because it inspires some people and helps some people.

Camp Poem

My Camp Poem.

For group B our first activity was a walk to Apple Tree Bay.
It was a beautiful day for tramping with Izaak leading the way.
The next day coasteering was the name of the game,
lots of people got cut for the muscles were to blame.
At the end of the day we headed up to caving club hut,
and the girls made each other nick names for a catwalk where they did strut.
The next day was by the far the best,
when caving I thought I saw a pest.
For the next two days we were at Whenua Iti where we did,
high ropes, trapeze and flying kiore (rat). It's fun being a kid.
